Hey there, incredible human!
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Powa Movement blog, your brand new digital home for all things empowerment, wellness, and community. I am absolutely thrilled you're here!!!
Why POWA movement?
Let me take a little off ramp for a moment bear with me.
There are two ladies I follow on Instagram who were both on a weight loss journey. Let’s call them Lady A and Lady B.
Lady A did it quietly. One day, she just posted her before-and-after pictures, and boom, she looked amazing! The comments were full of “How did you do it?” and “You look incredible!”
Then there’s Lady B. She came online and said, “I want to lose weight, and I want to take you on the journey with me. If I can inspire even one person, then it’s worth it.” She shared her meals, workouts, highs, and lows every day for three months. When she slipped up, she showed us that too, on days she was lazy to exercise, she shared that too, and her community in the comments would encourage her to keep going. When she posted her 3-month transformation, the celebration in the comments was wild. But what stuck with me the most were the “I’m inspired” comments.
Guess who inspired me the most amongst the two ladies? Lady B.
We live in a world that rewards perfection. We curate happiness, strength, success, and intelligence. And that’s okay, there's nothing wrong with that. But personally, I’m moved by realness. By people who show the messy middle, not just the highlight reel.
The truth is, so many people give up when it gets hard. Not because they’re weak but because they think they’re the only ones struggling. Sharing our challenges It can help someone feel seen. It might even save them. Before mypowa launch, I chose to share some parts of my struggles on social media. I wanted people to see the truth, not just the final product, but also the weight of the journey it took to get here. It was not necessarily from complaining, but to be honest about the ups and downs of building something from scratch. I believe in mypowa. With every fibre of my being. And if I truly believe it’s going to be big one day, then I want people to know what it took to get there. mypowa isn’t just a business. It’s a movement. A mission to change lives, and if by sharing the tough parts, one person is inspired to keep going. Then I’ve done my job.
“When you know your why, your what becomes impactful.”
I want people to find their POWA again. To start living with intention and not fear. To ask the big questions: Why am I doing this? Am I doing this because I want to… or because it’s what my upbringing, community, or environment told me I should?
“What am I trying to achieve?”
“How does this actually make me feel?”
It's time we stop shying away from failure. It’s a natural part of life, and honestly, some of the best lessons and the deepest growth come from the moments we fall. I connect to the process, not just outcomes. Surely, I'm not the only one? Sharing the good moments is easy: the wins, the milestones, the pretty packaging. But true impact happens when someone sees you in the middle of the storm and still choosing to show up. Because the truth is: People don’t just need your success; they need your journey. They need to know it wasn’t always smooth. That there were days you wanted to quit. That you cried, failed, doubted, started over, but kept going. That’s what gives them the strength to keep going, too. If all we ever show is the final result, we unintentionally convince people that struggle means they’re doing it wrong. If they hit obstacles, it must not be meant for them. That if they’re tired, they’ve already failed. But when we’re honest about the tears, the delays, the confusion, the fear, we give people the gift of reality.
And reality is POWAful. Because it says:
“You’re not alone.”
“This is part of it.”
“And if I can keep going, so can you.”
The most impactful people are not the ones who look perfect. They’re the ones who keep it real. Who lead with authenticity. Who show up with all the mess, all the questions, and still chase purpose. Because let’s be honest, anyone can clap when you win. But when you can share your pain, your uncertainty, your process and someone says “thank you, I needed that” that’s legacy. That’s impact. That's POWAful .
This blog, the Powa Movement, is for the ones rebuilding themselves. For the ones asking deeper questions. For the ones who want to rise, even when it’s hard.
